What is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or Tapping?
CameronMindset
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping) is a combination of Traditional Chinese Acupressure (acupuncture without the needles) and Modern Psychology. It involves the use of fingertips rather than needles to tap on the meridian points situated just beneath the surface of the skin. It is non-invasive, simple and pain free.
This powerful technique has been used by an estimated 10 million people worldwide and it has been researched in more than 10 countries, by more than 60 investigators, and published in more than 21 different peer-reviewed journals. Australian research (we love Dr Peta Stapleton) has found EFT for obesity and food cravings and smoking to be extremely successful.
How Does EFT Work?
It appears to affect the amygdala (stress centre in the brain) and hippocampus (memory centre), and both play a role in the decision process when you decide if something is a threat. Clinical trials have shown that EFT is able to rapidly reduce the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress.

Our training and qualifications are via Dr Peta Stapleton and Evidence Based EFT. Here is her bio:
Dr Peta Stapleton has 20 years experience as a registered Clinical & Health Psychologist in the State of Queensland, Australia. She is currently an Associate Professor in Psychology at Bond University.
Peta leads worldwide research into psychological trials into new therapies in the area of obesity and weight management. One of her most significant contributions in her research life has been to lead a world-first randomised clinical trial investigating the effectiveness of a new and innovative treatment option for food cravings in overweight and obese adults (psychological acupuncture or tapping as it is more commonly known). The results of this study are comparable to traditional treatment methods for weight management (cognitive behavioural therapy) and have established Dr Stapleton as a world leader in her field.
